Pioneers of the 20th Century
The purpose of this unit is to learn about how people during various time periods and under various circumstances became pioneers by being an innovator in a particular field. During this unit, students will study people who have made innovations in exploration, medicine, economics, politics, society, science, technology, and culture. Students will also learn about the problems these pioneers faced and about how their innovations helped to solve these problems in a creative way.
